2012 Volvo V60 Plug-in Hybrid
This is the first vehicle in Volvo’s history with a CO2 level of 50 g per km and a proof low fuel consumption – 1.9 l per 100 km
Volvo showcased a hybrid diesel engine with electric drive – Namely Volvo V60 Plug-in. Front-wheel hybrids will be powered by a V60 five-
cylinder D5 turbodiesel, 2.4-liter, 215 bhp, with peak torque of 440 Nm at. The rear axle is supported with electric drive ERAD (Electric Rear Axle Drive) 70 hp. Electric drive is powered by lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 12 kWh. This gives the chance to go the distance 50 km, using just electricity.

Volvo V60 Hybrid will be presented during a press conference in Geneva. The production model will begin in 2012.
